About Amy Lockhart
A 20 year Navy Veteran who loves giving back to the Veteran community!
I grew up in a small town in Tennessee where I went bass fishing and camping with my family every summer. At age 5, I won my first fishing tournament when I caught the largest bass in a local county lake.
After high school, I joined the Navy and shipped off to boot camp. I was lucky to have a pretty amazing career being stationed in places like Spain, Washington, Bahrain, Virginia, and Florida. My specialty was in Information Technology and tactical communications. I spent more than half my career with the Navy SEALs and Army Special Forces, where I deployed to Iraq/Africa and was able to travel the Middle East extensively. After 20 years, I retired in 2017 from MacDill AFB and decided to stay in Tampa, FL.After retiring from the Navy I felt lost in the world and honestly didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. After finding my passion for fishing again, I found that helping others learn the healing properties of being on the water is what I needed to do in life. For me, there is nothing better than spending the day on the water taking in the amazing scenery we have in Florida. Fishing allows me to go back to that time in my life when everything was innocent and pure.
