From Angie Gade
I’m hearing it everywhere… temps are too hot for hunting, deer aren’t moving.
That may very well have been the case here in the midwest as well, but it didn’t stop us from trying.
Though the deer weren’t moving, I would have to say hands down that’s the warmest
bow hunt I’ve ever had, and I think I may have gotten sunburned! haha.
The BEST part about the warm weather was an opportunity we took to hit the trails at our local
state park. Nestled in on the edge of Lake Winnebago, High Cliff State Park is by far one
of my favorites. Great trails for walking the dog, or riding the bike, and fantastic views particularly in the fall.
The leaves may have fallen, but the view was just as gorgeous.
True confessions… I get a little nostalgic when walking through a path with tall trees on both sides,
Short or tall, if those trees are holding me in down below, I’m in heaven
